My First Week!

Well, I just had my first week of watching 3 more of the greatest children that I know. Many of you know that I quit J.Nicole's to watch Penny and Brian's children. Penny has a position at Glen Oak Elementary School teaching 4th grade. I have been blessed to spend 1-2 days a week with Penny's family for the past 5 or so years. I have a wonderful relationship with my niece and nephews! Andy and I are so happy that Kaleigh will have a good relationship with her cousins. She loves playing with them...and believe it or not the 3 of them love playing with her. Andy and I have felt that we want a way for me to stay home, or at least be with Kaleigh as much as possible w/o giving up family time (which working in the evenings seems to do). God provided for us all in a perfect way... Penny is a wonderful teaches and the children in 4th grade are very lucky to have her, and I am honored that Brian and Penny would trust me to care for their 3 wonderful children. I'll also get to help teach Mae to read! I am totally excited about that...I've read several books, and we've already gotten started. Thomas will be going to kindergarten this year. He is really excited! We talk about what it will be like, what he should and shouldn't do there and about everything that he will learn. Thomas is doing really good, Wednesday he sat down with me and read me a book that he hasn't read before (with lots of new words) and yesterday he counted to 100 for me! This week we've done lots of playing, gone to the playground (a couple times), gone to the library, played in the sand box, worked on out letters, the sounds they make, and what words start with that sound, we've gone to McDonald's and earned marshmallows for good behavior, watched Cinderella, and made stew all together! Needless to say we are going to have an eventful year with many things to look forward to! So anyway, I'll be in Dublin everyday...so if you need your hair done...I need gas money :) Anyway, life's "big changes" are here...and we are LOVING IT!
