Well, we spent a lot of the day Friday the 11th at the Dr.'s office, then the ER at Children's Hospital. Emmett is very sick. Now, he seems to be a lot better than Friday, but that's not saying much. I called the Dr. Friday when Emmett's fever hit 102.8. He would cry if moved, or if he wasn't sleeping. :( The Dr. looked at him then decided that we needed to take him directly to the ER. He called ahead for us, so we didn't sit with the massive germs for too long (still too long for my liking!). He was not able to hold his head up, and very sensitive to touch. They gave him some meds. and he had 3 Dr.'s. So sum up the next 6 hours... after some meds, right before they did more serious tests, he popped out a smile! He definitely had a favorite Dr. So they waited and watched, giving more meds as time went on. They tested for flu, which he doesn't have, and checked his urine...which was good. We are waiting on blood work still though. So finally after 12:00am we were allowed to go home, with strict instructions not to let him any worse.
We have a wonderful pediatrician who came in on his day off to follow up with Emmett Saturday. He is doing much better, sitting up again, fever 101.5 (his temp at the Dr's office) and going down several times. Actually it was normal once today. :) He is sleeping a lot, and fussy, but we've gotten a few smiles too!
We are praying for a quick recovery for Emmett, and that his illness is not shared with anyone else!

Oh my, how stressful your weekend must have been. We'll certainly pray for continued quick recovery for the little tough guy.
Any updates on him? Just saw this today so I sure hope he's better by now!
